Shark Toof a contemporary artist from Los Angeles photographed in front of a mural he completed this past week end on Division street at the Eastern Market.
“This process keeps me alive. It is my contribution to give to the people. The art come from a childhood place. This work taps into that. It says I exist,” says Shark Toof adding that he hopes that his artwork belongs to that category of things that stop you during the day taking you away from your routine for a moment.
Sharks is a theme that the artist explores painting them in various locations and individually designing each one with keeping the integrity of the building in mind.
Shark Toof was in Detroit for a gallery opening at Inner State Gallery featuring a new body of work, “I’m Shark Toof, Who The Hell Are You?”
